First and foremost, this series goes in order, and this is the FINAL book of the trilogy! If you haven't read the first two books go and do that otherwise this review will be confusing and contain MAJOR spoilers!

Paige is on the run from every organization known to her on Earth Two! She knows the truth behind the lies and secrets but is unable to do anything about it without taking major risks. Only can she when it's not just her life on the line? Franklin. Her little man keeps her from doing something stupid, but can she afford not to do something insane?
Paige knows that Ryle, Georgia, and her time are running short, and they can't keep moving from one safe house to the next. Something needs to be done and Paige is tired of waiting for someone else to make a move. She may just have to turn into her mother to get what she wants. . .

The more I read this quote that's found in the book the more it hits. Paige has tried living her life completely different from her mother's including separating herself from any memory of Di. But as the series has progressed the dynamics between the two characters have changed. Paige knows what she has to do and knows how to shake the Settlement to its very core.
I loved the dual POVs for this installment as we get to see how Ryle really feels about Paige and the Government. The Settlement's Government moving forward with plans and ideas that have Paige questioning why she ever listened willingly to everything. Some of the actions the Government is taking for the "greater good" may be triggering to some. It primarily deals with rights regarding to repopulate or not. . .
I loved the suspense leading up to the final scenes of the book! And just the psychology and how Paige's mind worked. How she came to conclusions she never thought she would. But when you're trying to survive, keep your loved ones safe, and potentially topple a system?! Yeah, your state of mind and morals changes just a little.
This read does contain language, mention of racism, and some blood and gore. The heavy weight of the not so fun side of science and experiments. Talk of how awful the Government has gotten with how they're going to move forward with certain plans. Citizens being manipulated and forced to comply with things. Real life parallels that may be triggering to some. Past parental abuse brought up along with some flashbacks.
I felt so many emotions as I read through this final installment. I loved the ending and our characters do get HEAs. We still have LGBTQ rep with some of the side characters. There're still some things not fully tied up, but you can imagine what will happen or maybe the author is going to revisit this world with a different cast? Either way I really enjoyed the ending and I want to say more but that would be major spoilers!
Enjoy the read with suspense, drama, government manipulation, and motherly instincts that aren't just reserved for your own flesh and blood! Don't forget to give the author some stars!
