Princess Charming Author Sera Cassell
ARC Review
5 out of 5 stars!
"You're champagne and I'm Witty's Pale Ale." - Rory
Aurora Maguire's trying to grow her cupcake/wedding cake business. Having been tied into a promise she cannot break, Rory comes face to face with her ex. Not looking forward to the event at all she is luckily saved by a knight in a shiny suit. Only when it's announced that her knight is actually a real Prince, Rory nearly falls over.
Hugh's the spare heir to the throne. Wishing to live a normal life and enjoy having his freedom. Only the red head with freckles draws him in like a moth to a flame.
"It appeared to be the dreaded-ex-lovers-running-into-each-other scene, starring Brad, A.K.A. the douche canoe, and his new infatuation. . ." - Hugh
Only Hugh's past is coming back to bite him in the rear when Rory background checks him. Will he be able to convince her of his feelings? Seeing past what the media has posted about him. Will she agree to an actual date with him? What will the royals say about the relationship? I mean Hugh's just the spare, right?
Have you ever just started a book an knew instantly this was going to turn into one of your favorites? That happened to me! I knew I was going to love this fluffy romance from chapter one. Meeting Rory, Aurora, and Hugh helped to solidify things. I want a physical copy of this book! Read it in eBook form but this is one I need the actual copy of!
Small town girl tries not to fall for an upper-class, potentially "ex" playboy. Only things don't go as planned, in more ways than one. This is a very fluffy, maybe a little corny, romance. I loved the main characters so much and their personalities! Rory doesn't have red hair and freckles for nothing. Being Irish helps to make it clear that she's stubborn and loud, but very sweet and compassionate with an enormous heart.
Hugh's just trying to navigate his life. Even more so with the potential of possibly being able to date Rory. Not to mention his life being turned on its head. His heart is in the right place and I enjoyed watching him from the first POV with his character! How he also had to grow and realize some things.
Loved this book so much! I love my fluffy romances, but wait! This one has some very spicy scenes in it. Fluffy romance with MF action? Yes, please. I also liked how this wasn't a clear cut, they meet and then happily ever after. There is a very happy ending but the two have to work past some things. Language is present in the book.
This was a great modern day fairytale. Full of romance, passion, some angst, royals, and so much more. Oh don't forget the cupcakes! They can be used for more things than just eating, throwing them at someone for example. I mean they are small in size like a baseball or softball and can be launched. That's all I'm going to say! Read the book.
I am hoping to read more works by this author and wouldn't mind seeing some of the side characters getting a main story. Enjoy the sweet read, grab a dessert, and give the author some stars!
