"The Baskerville Family is often referred to as the House of Berserkers."

Vikir's served the family faithfully for years, knowing nothing other than being a loyal dog. Until his accomplishments and services land him in a betrayal plot against him and his execution. Before the blade falls he vows that if he were to redo it all he would do it better and serve justice to his "father".

Something hears his resolve because he is thrust back in time to his baby self. Vikir realizes he truly does get a redo at this storyline, only all his memories from his past life are with him. Causing him to know things and adapt faster than before! Some things remain the same while there are other plotlines he wasn't prepared for. Will he be able to accomplish his revenge plot?

I was intrigued by this title because I grew up with the great Sherlock Holmes and had read "The Hound of the Baskervilles". I was drawn in but this read is in no way a retelling of the classic. It has some elements and names but otherwise it's an original story.

Vikir was an interesting character, though he is very much overpowered. But I mean that's to be expected when you have the memories from your previous life. Though he understands he cannot show his hand too soon or else he may be removed from the narrative again. It was fascinating watching his mind work and how he accomplished that carrot on a stick method. Securing his place and keeping "father" invested in him.

This is a dark graphic novel with dark themes. Vikir has to survive a very harsh environment, and things don't get better. The artwork is beautiful, but it also helps to depict the intensity of this family. There's no sympathy for infants or children. They go through brutal training and are forced to remain in a constant state of survival mode. Violence, blood, gritty, and dark.

We do get hints and understandings of Vikir's past life to clarify some of the choices he makes in this new one. But I do like that even though he follows a plan and makes better decisions than he did ripples happen. Causing changes in the timeline he knew that place new obstacles in his way. Will be interesting to see how far things will change and if he will even be able to remain on his designated path. Or if things go astray too much, will he have a new goal to aim for?

Cliffhanger and a new turn of events for Vikir to navigate. Enjoyed the fighting sequences and how his warped mind worked. The manga is in full color and again the artwork is so phenomenal!

Do enjoy the first volume about a redo of life but with a bunch of psychos and mind games. Don't forget to give the collection of people who brought this manga together some stars!

Thank you, Yen Press and NetGalley!
