When it rains it POURS at times! After a major misunderstanding with a guy, she thought she was exclusive with, Leigha decides to hop on a plane. Arriving in Cabo, Mexico early for her parents fiftieth celebration. Only to get a text from her boss that she may no longer have a job?!


Refusing to allow things she cannot change, or control weigh her down Leigha embraces this vacation. I mean the breathtaking scenery, her mom's lengthy itinerary list, and Margaritas will help to relax her. But when a body is found and the hotel management seems to be so blaze about the matter Leigha may just have to solve things. It's so she can have peace of mind and truly relax!


This is a very quick read! Roughly sixty-eight pages of fun. I kept feeling like this was a Saturday morning classic cartoon. Scooby Doo vibes minus the large friend group and Scooby. Fast paced, very lighthearted, and fun. Great for reading next to the poolside or on a beach towel before diving into the water!


I love my cozy mysteries and the light and breezy ones to help cleanse the pallet sort of speak. I mean we all love those mysteries where you are on the edge of your seat, or some really heavy things are popping up. But sometimes you just want that light read. 


Like most people on vacation, it's hard to fully unwind until the third day or more. Leigha's trying to shut her brain off and ignore life back in Chicago. I loved her and how she definitely got her curiosity and drive to not let things just sit from her mom! Loved meeting part of her clan in this read and how she got some of her traits. 


I didn't pick up on any language with this read. There was mention of alcohol poisoning and questions concerning alcoholic beverages served by some resorts in Mexico. Not a whole lot of CWs to be honest. Single POV in third person.


We do have some romance potentially blooming for Leigha and another character that I adored. Both struggling to allow themselves to be on vacation. Nothing happens in this read between them but maybe within the next books!


HEA for characters and some side characters! Off to read the next book in the series! Thank you BookSirens for this review copy!


Enjoy the very quick read that would be perfect for a moment of relaxation before diving back into vacation activities! Don't forget to give the author some stars!
