After events in Cabo, Mexico and a famous article written by her boyfriend! Leigha's decided she wants more out of life and her career. Switching it up to criminal law! And in celebration of her graduation her mom gifted her two tickets to Costa Rica!


Leigha cannot say no and of course, Calvin has already been accepted into the Plunkett clan! Leigha likes him a bit as well. But as the two are settling into a week of vacation and following Merry Plunkett's packed agenda and reservations things go south when a fellow tourist is found dead! Leigha and Calvin waste no time jumping into action again whilst on vacation!


I enjoyed the first novella and had to dive into this second installment. I love this one more than the first! We still have a very lighthearted and cozy mystery, but this one has more depth to it. Characters were fleshed out more and we get a better grasp on personalities and quirks. The culprit behind things didn't have straight black and white reasoning.

Listen if my parents gifted me with flight tickets and premade reservations, I would be already out the door! Merry Plunkett is the queen of ensuring that if you travel somewhere, you enjoy all it has to offer! Go big or go home! She does her research and plans things out like a pro. Leigha and, recently added, Calvin are more than happy to get swept away!


This is a fast paced, cozy mystery, novella. I didn't pick up on any language in this read. The mystery does stay light but with this one there's an actual death. Some heavy things revolving around a side character's past and the villain's motivation for things. I don't want to give anything away! A scary moment with a crocodile, but everyone is alright.


Romance is there because Leigha and Calvin have been seeing one another for a year! Nothing on page other than hand holding, hugging, and little kisses here and there. Chuckled at the times the two just had to share looks and whole conversations were had! 

Everything is solved and concluded with this novella but more to come for Calvin and Leigha! This would be a fun read to enjoy while taking a breather on vacation! Cannot wait to hop into the next installment and see what the two get into this time and where they get to vacation at!


Enjoy the quick read with sunshine, sand, tropical forests, and a mystery to solve! Don't forget to give the author some stars!
