The Dropped Stitch: Part Two - Transformation Author Petra Palerno

Book Review!

Set to Release August 20, 2022!

5 out of 5 stars!

First and foremost! This is a three part series. The series goes in order so please read part one (The Dropped Stitch: Part One - Transportation), otherwise you will be utterly confused by what you read. Not to mention there will be so many spoilers!

"Protection cloaks of this caliber can invoke certain feelings for the involved parties." - Orthus

A bargain has been struck and both have agreed to it! Only there are a couple of conditions Cordelia didn't realize would be so intense. Having to stifle the fake attraction and draw to Orthus is harder than it seems! Does he feel the same way? Or is this just part of the bargain's side effects?

Everyone keeps assuring Cordelia that she's the safest at the Summer Estate, everyone except for one. Vasileios' keeps stating she isn't safe and that she's in danger. How can that be true? The king's been nothing but kind, while Vas has been the opposite. Who does she believe and who should she stay far away from?

Sometimes I wish that my memories could be taken away, but only some. Then you stop and think about it. . . You need your memories regardless of how painful they are. Memories to help you feel things, understand your fears or apprehension of things. Otherwise you're just a mindless shell. . . The moment I read what Cordelia was going to do in the last book I was screaming no!

Then to see how the consequences of the bargain panned out were intense! This book will take you on a rollercoaster and the ending! Agh! I need the next book, the final part of the series. So yes, there's very much a cliffhanger that will leave you wishing you had a time machine.

I enjoyed seeing other courts come into play within this book. Cannot say I agree with their mindsets but I enjoy seeing more of this world and structure. We also get to see something from part one return in part two, don't want to spoil anything so that's all I'm going to say!

Vas I still very much enjoy and the arc of his character through this part was fantastic. I need more of that elven man in my life! Cordelia's also growing and trying to understand her place in this world. Not wanting to just be in the way or seen as something less. Yet forging her way may be a little difficult when she's not doing it for herself.

This book does contain some dark elements along with violence and language. This book also includes MF action for all of you needing a thirst quencher after the slow burn in part one.

I also want to mention one more character that I loved. Alasdair! I really hope to see him in part three. I enjoyed his character and how he didn't treat Cordelia differently. Even sparred with her.

If you haven't read part one in a while this part does a great job helping to refresh your memory. I also like to take notes on stories I read to help me write reviews along with jogging my memory. I have so many books it's hard to go back and reread series. My notes help me. I thought this book did a great job kind of refreshing the memory.

I loved the twists in this book and I am excited to see all of the cast return in part three. There's a map at the beginning of the book. I also really loved that the illustrations have continued!

Enjoy the high fantasy with drama and give the author some stars!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
