Marigold's just minding her business when a group of knights stop on her land, by order of the King. The humans' are insisting that she leave, yet she has been there for centuries. It is her land and her home! Scoffing at them she tries to frighten them off but things don't go the way she would have hoped.


The leader of the troop is instantly smitten with Marigold, but will she feel the same? Or will him being a human discourage her completely?


This book reminded me of Shrek and how he was just minding his own business. Enjoying his peace and quiet when a loud horde of creatures drops into his swamp. Only instead of a horde of fairytale creatures, Marigold has to deal with five human knights.


A very quick read, with a cute, fluffy romance. Love at first sight though the leader has to prove himself a little with Marigold. This is a fast paced story with a happy ending! I do think it would be really cool if the cast came back in another of the short stories, even if it's brief.


There's passionate kissing and I can't remember if there was language. The kissing is all that happens so it's a rather clean read. I loved all of the characters and the feisty Marigold. Who can take care of herself without any problem!
